Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Appointments ensure we can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. Same-day openings may be available, but they’re not guaranteed.
-
How often should my pet be groomed?
Most pets benefit from grooming every 6–8 weeks, though high-maintenance coats may need more frequent visits.
-
Do you groom all breeds and sizes?
Yes. We groom dogs of every size and breed, as well as cats. If your pet has any special needs or specific care requirements, feel free to let us know so we can accommodate them properly.
-
Can you groom senior pets?
Absolutely. We take extra time, use gentle handling, and maintain a calm, low-stress environment for older pets. If your pet has any medical conditions, mobility issues, or behavioral concerns, let us know beforehand so we can prepare and make the visit as safe and comfortable as possible.
-
Do you groom cats?
Yes. We offer cat grooming by appointment only. Some services may vary depending on temperament and coat condition.
-
How long does grooming take?
Most appointments take 1–3 hours, depending on your pet’s size, coat condition, and the services needed. Heavily matted coats or special-care pets may take longer.
-
What if my pet is anxious or difficult?
We work patiently with nervous or reactive pets, but if a pet becomes unsafe to groom, we may need to stop the service. Safety always comes first, for your pet and our staff.
-
Do you shave matted pets?
If a coat is severely matted, shaving is often the only safe and humane option. We’ll discuss the best approach before we begin.
-
Can I stay with my pet during grooming?
For most pets, being able to see or hear their owner increases stress. For that reason, pets stay in the grooming area without their owners present.
-
Do you offer special shampoos for sensitive skin?
Yes. We have hypoallergenic and medicated shampoos available upon request.
-
Do you express anal glands?
It’s awkward, but every grooming shop gets this question. Yes. We offer external anal gland expression upon request when it’s appropriate for your pet. If we notice signs that the glands are impacted or require internal expression, we’ll recommend a veterinarian instead for your pet’s safety and comfort.
-
What products do you use?
Professional-grade, pet-safe shampoos and conditioners, hypoallergenic options available.
-
Do you offer de-shedding services?
Yes. We provide de-shedding treatments that help reduce loose undercoat and shedding around your home.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.
